Orion’s Global Pharmacovigilance Unit is now recruiting a Medical Advisor for a permanent role in Espoo or Turku, Finland.

Description of position

We are searching a Medical Advisor to join our Pharmacovigilance team in Espoo or Turku. You will be a member of cross-functional clinical study team and follow and assess safety data during clinical development, creating an understanding of the safety profile of the new molecule under development.

Other responsibilities include the following:

• perform benefit-risk evaluation for marketed products
• assess individual adverse event reports
• write periodic safety reports, risk management plans and other safety related documentation for regulatory submission purposes

As the Medical Advisor, you have an opportunity to work together with Orion’s subsidiaries, partner companies and other co-operation parties globally, working language being both Finnish and English.

Description of unit

Orion's Global Pharmacovigilance Unit is responsible for following safety data for Orion's marketed human and veterinary products and molecules under development. Currently 35 professionals work in the Unit in Finland.

Requirements

To succeed in this Medical Advisory role, you must have a Medical Doctor’s degree. Experience from pharmacovigilance or clinical developments is much appreciated, however not mandatory.

You possess strong team working skills and ability to operate cross-functionally as well as also independently. You are driven and optimistic coupled with customer-focused approach.
