Wärtsilä Finland Oy, Energy Business - Construction and Commissioning Services is now looking for a Commissioning Engineer, Power Plants located in Turku or Vaasa, Finland.

To be eligible to work in this role, you need to be able to travel globally from Finland as an office location. *Please note that relocation costs and/or immigration support is not available for this position to move to Finland.
This position offers you an opportunity to use and enlarge your expertise in an international and dynamic environment, working on new build power plant commissioning works. Projects, production locations, Wärtsilä offices, customers and suppliers can be found all over the world. This position will therefore see you travelling abroad, around the world, approx. 250 days a year. Site work travel costs and compensation is of course included. We offer you an interesting position and a possibility to work with a successful global team in an international company.

As a Commissioning Engineer, Powerplants your main responsibilities will include:
- In this role you are doing Engine automation commissioning, testing and troubleshooting on Wärtsilä engine products
- The main role is to perform engine automation commissioning of OEM devices, including safety testing, hardware I/O testing (signal testing), performance and / or other contractually agreed test and procedures at site.
- Commissioning and service of Wärtsilä engine automation systems including hardware and software together with Wärtsilä site team.
- Frequently travelling worldwide and the possibility to enjoy different cultural environments and work in multicultural teams
The below will enable you to shine in this role:
- BSc degree in engine automation (or similar) or qualified by equivalent experience
- Demonstrable awareness of combustion engine processes, with a high level of competence in tuning and adjusting
- Proven understanding of mechanical and fluid process. In addition, knowledge of Wärtsilä engine types, including auxiliaries, is seen as advantage.
- Working knowledge of engine automation software. Wärtsilä specific UNIC system knowledge would be beneficial.
- If you have experience from ship engine room, that is seen as a positive skill to manage these tasks
- Team player who engages and collaborates with others to deliver results
- Positive mindset and open to learning new things
- Ability and willingness to produce appropriate documents and reports
