We are now looking for a Visual and UX designer (Brand Specialist) to join our Brand Identity Team. The preferred location for the position is Vaasa, Finland.

What you will be doin-

In this brand specialist role, you will own and develop brand guidelines, manage tools for brand development and support the organization through their core competencies in the creative field. In this role, the focus will mainly be on visual design and UX design, but in addition to this, we hope to find a multi-talented creative that would be able to work seamlessly across a wide range of work responsibilities.

The team consists of creative brand professionals who work in close proximity to senior management and in alignment with our corporate strategy. You will join the team in a stage of high work intensity, as we are currently working on refreshing our visual identity, and the rollout will continue into 2023. You will also be working across various company functions and collaborating with all the marketing and communications teams in our global organisation.

As a Visual and UX designer (Brand Specialist), your work will focus on these responsibilities:

- Co-own and develop visual Identity guidelines. o UX design and design systems for products o Digital marketing assets o Employer branding

- Lead brand-level development projects related to UX Design and marketing collateral

- Visual design, illustration, and layouts.

- Project management Additional responsibilities

- Photography and Videography

- Video and photo editing

- PowerPoint slide design asks

- Supporting in brand-, communications-, and marketing-related development projects

- Maintaining assets in our DAM (Digital Asset Management) environment

- Purchasing tasks for own projects

- Supporting VP Wärtsilä Brand and Brand Identity Team Lead in daily tasks

- Preparedness for international and travel

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

- Relevant university degree

- Professional UI/UX and/or Visual design work experience

- Other creative skills (video editing, photo shooting, copywriting, illustrations etc.)

- Ability to work independently as well as in teams in a fast-paced multi-cultural working environment

- Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is required for this role. Finnish, Swedish and other language proficiencies are seen as an advantage
