Component delivery (MTAC), manufacturing world-class components such as Cylinder heads, Connecting rod, Engine blocks, proto and test parts globally for Wärtsilä Engine Portfolio. 

Our priorities are high quality parts, delivery precision and manufacturability of the parts.

We are looking person to join our Manufacturing Technology team in Component Delivery Organization.

You will be working in a position of Process Developer with focus areas of machining method and process development.  

The role is offered on a permanent basis and will be based in Vaasa, Finland. The work address will be in the brand new Sustainable Technology Hub in Vaskiluoto.

What will you be doing?

As a Process Developer, your work will focus on these main responsibilities

• Component Machining method planning for new 4/5-axis machining centres (Create NC-Programs with NX CAM, Tool Design, implement new product and change requests to production)
• Develop our advanced machining application together with team (such as NX CAM and postprocessor development, Tool design application and way of working, machining simulation development)

The below will help you to shine in this role:

• Min. 5 years of experience 4/5-axis machining (Siemens control preferred)
• CAM Programming experience (NX CAM)
• Experience with CAD software 2D and 3D
• Knowledge of cutting Tools, Tool holders and workpiece clamping device
• Eager to learn new development possibilities and make things happen (own continuous improvement mindset) 
• Time management, organization skills and Decision-making ability
• Fluency in Finnish and English, both written and verbal
