Are you a video conferencing or unified communications specialist or manager looking for new challenges? Elisa Videra is looking for a Technical Lead to work in its multi-national Production and Advanced Services team in Finland as a business lead for production services.

Job description

In this position you will be expected to lead platform operation and improvement related activities, acting proactively and continuously aiming for improvements to maintain high quality and strive for excellence. You’ll work closely with our customers, internal teams as well as our key partners. We expect you to have extensive expertise on system management. You’d act as a key resource to further develop our production related processes, but also partake in building our platform development plan to improve the capabilities and competitiveness of our solutions and managed service. The role is dual-faceted, so you’ll also get to work with different collaboration technologies as a senior resource with system design and system management related tasks. The role doesn’t include people management related duties.

This position can be filled in Helsinki or Oulu (Finland). In both locations, you’ll have the support of your teammates, but regardless of whether we are at the office, at the customer, or at the cottage, we cooperate daily through chat and video. Our internationally dispersed team always has your back, and despite being physically in many different locations, we work closely together daily and support and learn from each other constantly! You actively cooperate with people from the Production and Advanced Services team, Sales and Sales Support, Product Management, Project Management as well as our strategic technology partners. You will report to the Head of Production and Advanced Services, Eero Heikkilä.

What do we expect from you?

We don't want to sugar-coat anything: this position requires some level of stress tolerance, as it is a complex and intriguing role. With a problem solver attitude and enthusiasm for technology, you are half-way there! Adapting to your audience is very important as you need to be able to present complex things to a non-technical crowd too. In order for you to succeed in this role, you will benefit from the following:

• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in technology or relevant science
• Fluent in speaking and writing English and Finnish, other languages are considered beneficial
• 3+ years of experience in video, voice or UC industry
• Experience on system management and related processes and IT service production
• Understanding of IT infrastructures and networking
• Video, voice, UC vendor or cloud certifications/trainings
• ITIL Foundation is considered beneficial
• Good communication and documentation skills
• Solid business understanding and ability to negotiate with business partners
• Customer orientation and the ability to manage customer expectations
• Ability to balance between technology and business to be able to communicate solutions, ideas, suggestions to a variety of stakeholders effectively
• Ability to plan, coordinate and supervise all activities related to the detailed solution design, development, and implementation of software or application.
• Management skills to coordinate large, complex programs/projects simultaneously
• Good teamwork skills across matrixed client, supplier and geographically dispersed virtual teams
• Collaborator attitude– willingness to share ideas, documentation and leading practices
