The Load & Haul Division within Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions is an industry leading global provider of loaders and trucks for underground mining industry with focus on technology development and future innovative solutions to enable sustainable operations for our customers.

As our current President, Mats Eriksson, has been appointed as the new President of the whole Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions, we’re now looking for a successor to lead the division Load and Haul. We’re looking for an entrepreneurial, transparent, and networking leader to enhance our business as President of SMR Load and Haul – someone passionate about driving the next phase of our journey and continuing to transform this division.

Your mission

As President of SMR Load and Haul, you work to form a customer-centric culture – ensuring close collaboration between our division, the sales organization, and most importantly, with our customers. One of your key focus areas in this job is to translate our customer needs, build a successful strategy based on that, and bring that strategy to life. You establish and develop a value-adding sales approach through which we quantify and demonstrate why we're the customers' first choice. By enhancing our offering and market-leading products and by having a strong strategic plan and vision, you unlock significant value for the organization and our stakeholders.

Other essential items on your agenda are taking the lead in the ongoing technology trending evolution towards electrification, empowering our work with diversity and inclusion, and ensuring we take responsibility and conduct business sustainably.

You’re a clear, driven, and inspiring leader with line responsibility for our 1000 employees – a true role model who mobilizes an organization and creates a culture where collaboration, new perspectives, and results are in focus. You’re also an important member of the Business Area Management team; fully accountable for the profit and loss statement of the division and for leading our high performing organization towards the future.

Your division covers a global industrial footprint from US to Asia, including sites in Camarillo, Turku, Changzhou, Johannesburg and a future site in Malaysia. You are also responsible to host two sales areas, SEMEC (South Europe, Middle East and CIS) and Sales Area Mexico, Central America & Caribbean. The preferred location for this position at our Division HQ in Turku, Finland and you report to the President of Sandvik Mining and Rock Solution. Travel is included as a natural part of the job.

Your background and character

You have a background within general management, including previous accountability for profit and loss statements in a global. A proven track record of managing B2B sales and business development in different markets is necessary. You know how to bring a division towards a successful future – listening to the customers' needs, prioritizing areas of development and developing a strategy into clear and well communicated execution plans.

You’re a passionate entrepreneur, with exceptional leadership skills and a confident, courageous mind! It is a plus but not a must if you have relevant knowledge of the mining and construction business. To perform well in our diverse setting, you also need a highly developed cultural sensibility and a proven track record of successful execution and delivery according to plan.

Most importantly, you develop our business and the people around you through empowering, influential and credible leadership, and you create a collaborative environment based on clear and precise communication. As we operate worldwide, you also need advanced verbal and written skills in English.
