In Summer Power - Business Administration, Development & Design we offer general business related, commercial tasks with other non-technical opportunities, such as Project Management, Human Resources or UX and Service Design. The applicable teams are located either in Support Functions or our two main business areas (Marine Business or Energy Business) in Finland.

Responsibilities

The work offered in Business Administration, Development and Design is guided by the Wärtsilä Way and our visions of the future. As a trainee you will be in contact and collaboration with different stakeholders, both internal and external, which is why good communication skills are important.

The specific tasks will vary depending on your team, skills and interest. You will have independent work responsibilities but also support your team in daily work and development of task specific processes. Tasks in this category may include things like data management and control, Business Analytics, process mapping and visualisation, reporting, event and project coordination activities, business modelling, user interviews, service design as well as assisting with areas like travel arrangements, time sheets, payroll, invoicing and much more!

Requirements

We are looking for motivated, curious and solution focused students that share our ambitions towards decarbonisation and making a difference. We value team players with the ability to cooperate in an environment that supports diversity and inclusion.

As an ideal candidate you have:

• On-going studies in a relevant field (B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Business Administration, International Business, UX Design, Service Design, Human Resources, Economics or equivalent)
• Working fluency in English, both written and spoken
• Target oriented and positive change management attitude
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Strong skills in basic MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
• The ability to transfer theoretical skills into action.

Also seen as a benefit:

• Knowledge and/or experience in SAP, M-Files, PowerBI, Qlikview and Success Factors  
• Experience from Data Management or Data Analytics
• Being tech savvy in one or more of the mentioned: Figma, Sketch, Canva, Adobe, Miro (or similar)
• Understanding or experience in design thinking and visualization of processes
• Experience, knowledge or motivation towards establishing business models and potential business cases.
• Interest in project management and knowledge of PM frameworks (like agile)

To ensure a fair and equal compensation for all selected trainees, the salary for each trainee (monthly salaries) is set based on the level of studies and number of acquired study credits. The salary range is 1 825€ - 2 535€/month depending on the above given factors.
