Nordcloud is seeking a results-driven leader to join us as a Senior Enterprise Architect Director within our Information Technology team. This position will be a key leader on the transformation – architecture and governance team and report to the global transformation - architecture and governance lead.

Our future Senior Enterprise Architect Director will influence without leaning on authority and lead a team of architects to solve, develop, and implement technical architectures across a broad range of technologies and across numerous cross-functional domains, in alignment with digital transformation objectives. This individual will need to possess a solid understanding of overall solution architectures, inclusive of business process, application architecture, data integration architecture, and software solution architecture. This individual will need the ability to challenge technical teams and standards while designing efficient and effective architecture processes.

Your daily work:

• Partnering with business relationship managers and functional business leaders for all enterprise technical architecture-related matters, in alignment with business needs
• Collaborating with functional&IT peers to ensure the overall success of architecture efforts broadly
• Analyzing and evaluating Cloud-based business application solutions to address business problems and opportunities
• Building and managing the future state application Cloud-based business application multi-year roadmaps considering current state assessments and gap analyses
• Developing, driving, and maintaining technology strategies and tactics for a portfolio of technology innovations
• Leading and administering all application solutions, architectural designs, review processes, standards, and committee
• Project delivery and oversight – being responsible for the development, implementation, and enhancements of the architectural roadmap, inclusive of application data integrations
• Directing, training, and developing a team of architecture professionals
• Managing vendor deliverables and relationships for architecture investments and consulting services
• Leading and measuring performance and operational resiliency related to architecture platforms, systems, practices, and methodologies
• Financial planning including annual budget, forecasting, cost tracking, work estimation, capital funding requests, application total cost of ownership
• Building and delivering presentations of the architectural vision, solution, and concepts in a business-oriented way in a global environment for our enterprise customers both during the presales and delivery phases

Your skills and attributes of success:

• Minimum 5+ years experience as Director of Application Architecture or related position with relevant large-scale enterprise transformation experience as it relates to architecting Cloud and on-prem legacy solution architectures (not including infrastructure architecture)
• Experience with enterprise-level Cloud services (i.e., AWS, Azure, GCP) required
• Proven experience with overall solution architecture including business architecture, application architecture, data integration architecture, and software solution architecture domains
• Demonstrated understanding of corporate functional areas (e.g., Business Development, Contracts, Accounting, Finance, HR, Legal, Communications, etc.) and related business applications
• Ability to develop and support the development of multi-year application strategic roadmaps in collaboration with business partners aligned to corporate, business, and IT goals
• Experience with planning and execution of migrating on-prem applications to Cloud environments
• Ability to collaborate with business partners to determine sound technical solutions and application strategies considering the current internal solution architecture landscape and Commercial Off Shelf (COTS) solution marketplace
• Thorough understanding of project/program management skills such as planning, scope, quality, time, cost, and resource management, communication and status, and risk management with large-scale project delivery experience
• Balance of collaboration and influence to lead without control
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to succinctly present complex subject matter, specifically translating technology problems/solutions to business partners
• Prior experience with people management, talent assessment, coaching, and performance management
• Strong leadership, mentorship, teamwork, relationship building, negotiation, conflict resolution, partnership orientation, and problem-solving skills
• Fluent communication skills in English
