We are digital builders born in the cloud and currently, we are looking for Database Reliability Engineer – PostgreSQL.

Your daily work:

• Being a Database Reliability Engineer focusing on PostgreSQL you will work on multiple cloud environments, including but not limited to: AWS, Azure, GCP
• As a Database Reliability Engineer you will set up the delivery of reliable data platforms on public cloud (be it on an AWS or Azure or GCP) in collaboration with our and our customers' cloud architects and developers through common, repeatable tools and processes
• As a first step you need to understand our customers' data architecture (including rational Databases, Data Anayltics and DW), in order to define their data infrastructure needs, which will be met through the design and development of the right tools and processes
• You will define the basic performance and availability for our customers' life data platform sites and ensure the database health by taking measures on data recovery, deployment, security, visibility, capacity planning, performance tuning, debugging queries and offer Cloud DBA Service to the customers

Your skills and attributes of success:

• Expertise in PostgreSQL and related technologies, especially on following topics:
  • Expertise in designing high availability and disaster recovery solutions for the databases
  • Experience in performance tuning database schemas, indexes, and queries
  • Skills in automation and scripting
  • Experience working with the external customer
• Fluent communication skills in English

Your super-powers (we’d consider any of these as a big plus):

• Skills with MySQL / MariaDB
• Skills with NoSQL databases
• Skills with MS SQL Server
• Skills with Oracle
• Skills with IBM Db2 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows
• Skills in programming and scripting: Bash, Python, Power Shell
• Skills with Terraform or Ansible
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Hands-on experience with Data Warehouses and columnar databases
