Elisa is looking for an Application Security Architect to ensure that the security/privacy requirements necessary to protect the company's businesses are adequately identified, planned, and the resulting systems are implemented accordingly.

In this role you are acting as an IT Security Advisor in various technical and business contexts. You help business to understand security requirements of new or renewed business application. You ensure that purchased applications are compliant and development teams can implement security controls according to our best practices. You will have multi years of hands-on technical experience with IT security. Above all, you have an insatiable desire to learn new things about the IT security and improve your skill set.

Your main tasks:

• Act as an IT applications security controls advisor for businesses
• Responsible for security controls architecture including target state and development road map.
• Create architecture of required security controls for new applications or applications with major changes.
• Participates in vendor/application evaluation and selection process and be responsible to evaluate security/privacy compliance of proposed solutions.
• Assists development teams in correct implementation of agreed security/privacy controls.
• Actively participates security forums at Elisa.

What we expect from you:

• Good working knowledge of IT risk landscape and experience implementing security solutions
• Solid understanding of security protocols and cryptography
• Experience in threat modeling
• University degree (e.g., in computer science, IT, or a related field)
• Exceptional ability to effectively communicate with technical and business colleagues and make complex ideas understood
• Programming skills in at least one programming language.
• Strong interpersonal, presentation, written communication, and facilitation skills.
• Fluent proficiency in English (written and spoken)

We also appreciate if you have:

• Knowledge of container technology solutions
• Security architecture of SaaS, private public and hybrid clouds
• Fluent proficiency in Finnish (written and spoken)
• Knowledge and experience in information security frameworks
• Security certificates

This position can be located at Helsinki or any other Elisa’s office in Finland if you are regularly willing to travel to our HQ in Pasila.
