Our Smart AG innovation team based in Jyväskylä; Finland is looking for a new team member: 

Product Marketing Specialist 

Our task is to conceptualize, design and bring to market the agricultural solutions of tomorrow. We work outside of traditional engineering processes to accelerate product development and get things done. At the core of the team’s mission is the entrepreneurial mindset of understanding farmers’ daily lives and getting value giving solutions out to them as fast as possible. We are looking for a naturally proactive and customer orientated team member to help kick start our activities. So, if you are passionate about understanding what customers really need and delivering solutions with the flexibility and speed of a garage start-up, yet with the resources of a global company, then this position is the chance for you to throw away the rule book and get the job done!   

Job Responsibilities  

As our new Product Marketing Specialist, you will play a vital role in bringing new product ideas to market. You will be part of an agile team, where you will take part in the whole cycle of product development and go to market and experience a variety of tasks including:  

  • Work with the team to understand customer needs and identify future products 

  • Coordinate high quality marketing materials including organising and executing photoshoots 

  • Product training for global sales teams 

  • Attending global trade shows and exhibitions to present our products 

  • Attend field days and work with customers to demonstrate products 

  • Work very closely with other team members in a fast moving and global team  

  • Co-ordinate marketing activities with global marketing departments  

This job could suit someone just graduating from Agricultural school or someone who has experience in agriculture and wants to try something new. The job offers a large degree of freedom, flexibility, and responsibility to form the workday to suit your ambitions and goals.  

Your Profile

You will have a relevant education and/or relevant experience. To succeed in the role, you will have 

  • Experience with agricultural machinery, it is operation and maintenance  

  • A strong understanding of agriculture and agronomy  

  • Basic IT skills with experience of Microsoft Office 

  • Excellent communication skills

  • You are proactive by nature and motivated by continually shaping and reshaping your own role in supporting the global team objectives  

  • Flexibility to work within a small but passionate team  

  • The desire and ability to travel globally (<50% of work time) 

  • An unstoppable desire to learn something new 

  • Excellent verbal and written English, a second language would be advantageous 

The job requires active regular weekly presence in our headquarters in Jyväskylä, therefore you will need to be willing to live in the local area.
