We are looking for an Internal Communications Lead to lead inspirational, best-in-class communications in Wärtsilä’s Energy division to facilitate engaging dialogue around our strategy, culture, and transformation journey. The preferred location for this position is in our headquarters in Helsinki, Finland but also other Wärtsilä locations in Europe are possible. We offer a possibility to hybrid remote work. 

Your role and responsibilities:  
 
Leading the internal communications for an organisation of approx. 5000 employees in 70 countries across the globe, you are responsible of the creation and implementation of our internal communication strategy and action plan, drive our change communications, act as sparring partner and coach for our senior leaders in their communications and ensure we have good employee listening & dialogue mechanics in place. You’ll be working in a network of senior leaders of Energy, belong to Energy HR team as well be closely collaborating with our corporate internal communications and Energy strategy and marketing teams. 
 
As an ideal candidate we hope that you have:

  • Experience working in an international environment with senior business management teams
  • Education & several years of experience on internal communications with good business acumen and change management skills
  • Ability to drive results with excellent planning and execution skills: coaching, facilitation, scripting, storytelling, change leadership and project management
  • Interest to analyse communications activities and outcomes to develop methods, tools and tactics to drive continuous improvement in communication efforts
  • Advanced English language skills and good cultural awareness across the globe
  • Excellent ability to build trusting relationships and collaborate well across the organisation
  • You are pro-active, service-minded and solution focused transforming great ideas into action
