We are looking for aLead Software Developer who cantake the lead on theElisa Kirja online store’sbackenddevelopment.Awide experience on web shop, CRM or similar development will be useful.

You will be working with developers and designers from your own team, with support from different specialist that provides help onintegrations, devops and architecture. The Kirja team has the independence on deciding how to implement new features, and in this we will be relying also on your clever ideas and judgement.

Your main responsibilities:

• Maintain and improve development practices.
• Planfuture development with the team.
• Simplify and renew the infrastructure of Elisa Kirjato a sustainable level.
• Steer technical planning with ProductManagement.
• Make your mark on the GitHub commits.

To succeed in the role, we hope you to have:

• Proficient understanding of one or more of the following: Python, Java, Scala or React.
• Understanding of development and architecture requirements when developing services on cloud platform and on premises environments. And the wisdom to see the difference.
• Experience on consumer services.
• Ability to communicate the benefits of your selected solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience on the common development tools: containers (Kubernetes), cloud service platforms (AWS, Google Cloud Platform) and devops tools to create and maintain easy deployments (GitHub Actions)
• Good humor never hurts :)

Future work in this role will not be tied to the current technologies; for example, we are looking forward to start utilizing Go in future development of our services.
