Orion is currently looking for a Financial Controller to join our Group Finance organization as part of Consolidation and General Accounting team in Head Office in Espoo.

Description of position

As the Financial Controller your main accountabilities include participating in the following responsibilities:

• Monthly closing and consolidation tasks
• Prepare general ledger accounting on your responsibility area
• Perform monthly closing activities in ERP (SAP)
• Participation of preparation on Orion Group’s Interim and Annual Financial Statements
• Ensuring IFRS compliance and accurate reporting of group companies on an ongoing basis.

You will report to Head of Consolidation and General Accounting. This role is suited to individuals who find enjoyment in managing finance operations as well as delivering continuous improvement to the finance function within a large corporate.

Description of unit

Your team is part of Group Finance function that is responsible for financial reporting of Orion Group and its 44 subsidiaries as well as finance support to Orion management and business stakeholders.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• Master’s degree in accounting or equivalent
• Knowledge on accounting standards (IFRS and Finnish GAAP)
• Interest to participate various development projects and thus develop ways or working
• Good excel skills
• Previous experience in collaborating within multifunctional teams
• Excellent communication skills in Finnish and English
• At least two to three years of relevant working experience
• Experience in SAP is considered as an asset
