If yes, then this is an excellent opportunity for you. We are now looking for an Industrialization and ECM Manager to join our Surface Drilling Division’s Supply Chain team. This permanent position is based in Tampere, Finland where Sandvik has a global technology and manufacturing center for the drilling equipment.

About your role

Your main responsibility is to ensure that the set targets for the Supply Chain organization in product development projects are achieved and to lead our ECM process, as well as develop and lead the processes related to these. You are responsible for the management of Supply Chain’s industrialization projects and the correctness of product structures, and you prepare and set Supply Chain production requirements for new product projects. You make sure that the targets of the projects, such as product lead time and product costs, are achieved for Supply Chain’s part.

In addition to leading projects, you also get to participate in them yourself. You develop change management processes and act as the owner of Supply Chain's ECM processes (ECN changes, ECN lead times, WIP and change management). You are responsible for the correctness of product structures together with Product Structure Specialists, and you create new component procurement channels during industrialization projects of new products together with Category Managers. You work closely with multiple stakeholders, such as R&D, production, sourcing and product management. In this role, you lead a team of product structure and new product development professionals This is a new position in our organization, which will allow us to excel in change management in the Supply Chain.

About you and your background

You have experience in the manufacturing industry and a track record in the industrialization process and production ramp-up, possibly with a product development background. You have also gained experience in change management by, for example, carrying out design change processes or a product updates in a controlled manner from R&D to production. Your project management skills are strong, and you understand the general operating principles of ERP and MRP systems. You have become familiar with Design for Six Sigma and understand technical documents. We hope that you will boldly bring out new perspectives regarding our processes and ways of working. Previous leadership experience is not required, but we highly value good collaboration skills - in your role, in addition to manager responsibilities, you will do a lot of stakeholder work, in which case good interpersonal skills are essential. Since the position is new, your own actions can have a big change and you will be able to develop our processes extensively. You have a suitable education for the role, e.g. in a technical or commercial field and you communicate fluently in English.
