Data is key for the future growth of Telia Company and thus the department of Data Mediation Broadband is growing. We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to make a difference and provide advanced IT service in Logging and application performance management.

Broadband Data Mediation Team is part of Telia Group IT Organization. This team is the IT solution owner for collection, mediation, and processing of the data from telecom network, IT infrastructure, IT applications, inventory systems and other data stores. These data are critical for Telia’s business and used for service assurance, investment planning, crowd analytics, security monitoring, business customer product offering, etc. 

Splunk is the major solution today in the IT logging and Observability area and we are evolving this area to more comprehensive and consolidated solution to cover all the user case in Telia.

As a DevOps Engineer, you will work with Splunk operation and new capability development. Your daily tasks include onboarding of new data sources to Splunk, system maintenance and solving Epics. You will also work as architecture reference for integration, automation, and new software solutions to improve the Splunk environment, process improvements and ways of working within Splunk. You will also assist with roll out of the new environment to all countries.

Is this you?

You already have couple of years’ hands-on experience in working with Splunk or similar log management tools in large IT landscape. You have good knowledge in Linux and RegEx and have worked also with SPL and GIT and have good understanding on network (DNS, TCP/IP). Other useful tools and technologies in this role are Ansible, Splunk Enterprise security or ITSI.

As a person you are easy to communicate with and you enjoy sharing your experience and knowledge. You enjoy working in a collaborative team and perform well also when working alone.
