Data is key for the future success of Telia Company and thus Telia Broadband Data Mediation Team is looking for a Software Engineer (node.js) for the Broadband Big Data solution area to strengthen our IP network performance management with a microservice-based events-driven data platform.

Broadband Data Mediation Team is part of Telia Group IT Organization. This team is the IT solution owner for collection, mediation, and processing of the data from telecom network, IT infrastructure, IT applications, inventory systems and other data stores. These data are critical for Telia’s business and used for service assurance, investment planning, crowd analytics, security monitoring, business customer portal product offering, etc. 

You will work with microservices development for network performance metric data ingestions, processing in a low code development environment and work with open source software like Apache Kafka, Elastic Search and Kubernetes. The day-to-day team collaboration is on Jira, Confluence, MS Teams, and Slack.

Our Broadband Big Data agile team is the IT solution partner for the business to ensure the development and maintenance of IP network performance data productions. Our solution is part of Telia’s network services like L2VPN, Datanet, Cloud Connect, IP Peering, IP Core and Metro, 5G Mobile Core network, Enterprise Mobile Network, Data Center Networks.

The team consists of DevOps engineers, SRE, architect, software engineers as well as scrum master and product owner. We have a strong and welcoming family who is really looking forward to meeting a new member! With us, you will have an opportunity to work with a team across 4 countries in the Nordic and Baltic. You will contribute to solutions that are used by stakeholders from all six countries where Telia operate.

Your responsibilities:

• Develop, upgrade, and maintain microservices for data metrics collections, processing, persistence, and visualization.
• Leaving the codebase in a better state than you found it.
• Communicate with IP network device expert on protocols, data dimensions, and metrics definitions.

Your experience:

• Node.js or JavaScript programming
• Events driven data pipeline development
• Microservices, Functions and RestAPI
• Apache Kafka and Elastic Search
• IP Network protocols knowledge like SNMP, BGP, DNS as a plus
