Material Master Developer

We are now looking for a Material Master Developer
Meyer Group consists of five sites, with four different ERP solutions and several PLM solutions. SAP implementations are on different maturity levels (ECC, S4), and the big work on material master migrations and data quality improvements is still to be done.
Our next major push is to implement SAP S/4 material master in Meyer Turku and Neptun Werft. These will be the first of corporate companies applying global material master in SAP system environment, following with other ERP upgrades in Germany and Finland later on.
Our target is to build a solid solution, which is able to improve our way of working, and changes the thinking of the importance of the material master data in our shipbuilding.
There we need a developer.
Your responsibilities
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- ensure material master data migration from legacy systems to S/4 HANA
- monitor the data quality and drive improvement on the processes based on the data
- maintain and customize the guiding material master data values (reference materials, material types, classification structure etc.)
- support and train the key users
- develop data reports and analysis
- manage system roles together with the authorization team
Together with business, Global Material Master Lead, and process developers you will:
- clarify the business rules to improve the material master quality
- develop the tools for monitoring and enhancing the data quality
- clarify and develop how the data should steer & support the E2E processes
- clarify and develop how the material master data should be governed
- clarify business requirements, create development specifications, support the enhancement build
- support the material master data alignment within Meyer Group
- support the material master data related interfaces from SAP to other systems
- support the local ERP and PLM deployments
You will work in a multicultural environment setting up the concept of the material master data, and providing continuous support after the GoLive. As we’ll head towards several SAP implementations and development transports in S/4 HANA, and we’ll target at harmonizing material master processes in several plants, this journey towards one global material master will provide limitless possibilities and sufficient challenges for anyone interested in the role.
What we expect from you?
You have ideally
- B.Sc. in (Shipbuilding) Engineering, IT or Process Development background
- excellent reporting and data analytics skills
- experience in master data management, materials management and/or bill of materials maintenance activities (MM in SAP preferred)
- experience on ERP implementations (SAP MM S/4 HANA considered an advantage)
- ability to define precise rulesets and ensure fulfillment of these rules in multinational organizations
- excellent people, communication, and facilitation skills
- excellent English skills (German and/or Finnish considered advantage)
- willingness to travel across sites (Papenburg [DE], Rostock [DE], Turku [FI], Piikkiö [FI])
- proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word/Excel)
Additional advantages
