We are looking for a Sales Support Engineer to support Performance Services, Agreements Sales. The preferred location for this position is Turku, Helsinki, or Vaasa.

Your role and responsibilities:

Performance Services, Agreements Sales is the function responsible for supporting order intake. Our objective is to enhance customers’ value by optimising their operations and safeguarding the condition of their assets in a proactive and predictive manner throughout the lifecycle. With customer centricity at the core of our operation, we fulfil our customers' needs through our offering of lifecycle solutions through long-term agreements.

  • Flexibility and good teamwork skills, since requirements demand working in close relation with various stakeholders
  • Capability to work in a global and virtually lead team
  • Experience with similar tasks and shared services operations is an advantage

Main responsibilities:

  • Working in close relation with colleagues within Agreements Sales
  • Connect equipment sold to different lifecycle solutions
  • Preparing and managing proposal packages based on service offer requests for global sales opportunities
  • Utilize Performance Services’ cost offering tool for proposals to our global sales
  • Creation of legal draft’s appendices: collect relevant information from manuals, create responsibility matrices & spare part lists for different sales opportunities

Qualifications/to be able to succeed in the position we expect you to have:

  • Commercial/Financial/Technical (e.g. Master’s and/or Bachelor’s degree, preferably in fields such as Industrial Engineering and Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Chemical Engineering)
  • High energy to evolve/grow in a fast-expanding business
  • As an ideal candidate, you have some 3+ years of experience in tasks related to complex sales activities & marine vessel systems. However, coaching/mentoring by experienced team colleagues will provide the basis for a steep learning curve
  • Relationship building and team player approach with good communication and administrative skills
  • Attention to detail and awareness of how they fit into the bigger business picture
  • Understanding and willingness to learn about existing and possible after-sales business
  • Knowledge about Operations and Maintenance towards Wärtsilä’s product portfolio
  • Basic know-how related to sales analytics
  • Fluent English language skills seen as compulsory – other European languages seen as a big advantage
