Assistant Manager, Trade Finance and Cash Management

Marine Global Business Support Centre (GBSC) is looking for a one year temporary position for Assistant Manager, Trade Finance and Cash Management to our GBSC Trade Finance – team.

GBSC is a global competence and expertise centre for FICO activities in project business within Marine Business. The main functions are project creation, taxation, trade finance, invoicing and export, project control, monthly closing activities and reporting. GBSC is responsible for ensuring high class quality in optimised processes and usage of tools. GBSC is providing these services to various legal companies.

The location of this position is Vaasa, Finland. This is a temporary position for 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Providing financial support in items related to contractual payment terms and trade finance instruments to Sales and Legal & Contract Management
• Supporting Project Management in trade finance related matters ensuring that contractual payment obligations are fulfilled by the customers
• Application and controlling of trade finance instruments
• Mitigating Wärtsilä´s risks under trade finance related financial transactions
• Forecasting and monitoring of incoming project payments

 Requirements

• Commercial education (B. Sc. or M. Sc.)
• 1-3 years working experience in foreign trade, preferably trade finance
• Good knowledge of trade finance
• General knowledge of cash management, credit management and financial accounting in international trade
• Good understanding of project business and payment terms used in international trade
• Excellent skills in Microsoft Office, especially in Excel
• Good knowledge of SAP if of advantage
• Good command of English both in writing and speaking. Other languages are considered as an advantage.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and team working skills with positive attitude.
