Assistant Manager, Trade Finance and Cash Management

Marine Global Business Support Centre (GBSC) is looking for two temporary Assistant Managers, Trade Finance and Cash Management positions. Both positions are temporary for 12 months starting in end summer / early autumn 2023. Both positions are located in Vaasa, Finland.
GBSC is a global competence and expertise centre for FICO activities in new build and retrofit projects within Marine businesses. The main functions are project creation, taxation, trade finance, invoicing, export, project control and reporting. GBSC is responsible for ensuring high class quality in optimised processes and usage of tools.

Responsibilities:    

• Providing Sales and Legal & Contract Management financial support in items related to contractual payment terms
• Supporting Project Management in trade finance related matters ensuring that contractual payment terms are fulfilled by the customers
• Application and controlling of trade finance instruments
• Mitigating Wärtsilä´s risks under trade finance related financial transactions 
• Forecasting and monitoring  of incoming project payments

Requirements: 

• Commercial education (Bachelor’s degree or M. Sc.)
• 1-3 years of work experience in foreign trade, preferably trade finance 
• Good knowledge of trade finance
• General knowledge of cash management, credit management, financial accounting and foreign exchange rate risks in international trade 
• Good understanding of Wärtsilä’s project business
• Good knowledge of SAP including global PS template 
• Good skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel 
• Good command of English both in writing and speaking. Other language  are considered as an advantage. 
• Good interpersonal, communication and team working skills with positive attitude.
