Manager, Material Planning
To join our Valtra Suolahti team
Your tasks
You will have a key role in Valtra’s Supply Chain Management, and you will be a part of AGCO’s Regional (EME) Supply Chain Organization. You will be responsible for Valtra’s material planning operations and transportations in Suolahti factory. Material availability is a crucial element in ensuring timely deliveries of tractors to our customers – farmers around the world. Succeeding in this task, along with efficient inventory management, will result in operational and financial excellence.
We are looking for a hands-on leader with excellent communication and influencing skills. We expect you to have operational experience working in similar roles and have talent for building strong and diverse teams. As a Material Planning Manager, you must have strong problem-solving skills and be ready to respond to operational issues quickly and effectively.
Main responsibilities

Managing and coaching an international team of Material Planners and Specialists

Collaborating with wide network of Supply Chain and Purchasing experts within AGCO Organization, to develop and integrate suppliers with the goal to improve supplier performance and key metrics

Drive and coordinate business escalations to ensure smooth run of manufacturing operations

Continuous development and standardization of planning processes, methods, trainings and tools as well as for ensuring the standard compliance

Build strong relationship with key suppliers to gain full understanding of their capabilities

Be ready to challenge and to be challenged
What you bring

You have a suitable degree for a key position in a supply chain and production environment, e.g., BSc/MSc in Logistics & Supply Chain Management or equivalent. You hold experience of material planning or procurement business with proven leadership skills, preferably from assembly business. You have excellent analytical skills and the ability to identify and communicate critical findings. Collaborating and influencing across a matrixed organization is important to succeed in this position. You can make decisions and you are self-motivated with a drive to work independently. Both spoken and written English skills are mandatory, Finnish language is a benefit. You work with MS Office applications and perhaps have experience from SAP ERP as well.
