Finland Futures Research Centre in Turku School of Economics invites applications for the fixed-term position of a Project Researcher / Research Assistant for the period September 1, 2023 - December 31, 2023

Finland Futures Research Centre is looking for a project researcher or a Research Assistant for a fixed-term, full-time position at the Helsinki office for Sep 1, 2023–Dec 31, 2023.

Tasks of a project researcher / research assistant include assistance in the implementation of the T-Winning Spaces project funded by the Academy of Finland in various ways: literature searches, participation in meetings and writing memos, assistance in international networking (especially in the Millennium project), participation in the processing of research material, writing reports, articles and presentations, and preparing and moderating futures clinics.

Tasks will also include participating in the preparations for the final seminar of another RESCUE project funded by the Academy of Finland.

We are looking for a person who has completed a master's degree in a suitable field or is in the final stages of their master's studies. This position is well suited for a person in the beginning of their research career, who has a sufficient background in Futures Research studies (degree or courses completed) and readiness to assist in research projects in various and often urgent tasks ranging from research and administration to international networking and moderation of workshops. The qualification requirements of the position are described in University of Turku rules of procedure.

The researcher works under the leadership of Professor Emerita Sirkka Heinonen. The applicant is expected to be self-driven and prepared for a creative team work. The position is located in the Helsinki office of the Finnish Futures Research Centre at the city centre area. Possibility to work remotely one day a week.

Monthly salary paid is approximately 2300–2400 euros, depending on the selected person's previous educational background and work experience. If the applicant has a master’s degree, they will be hired as a Project Researcher. If the applicant is a master's student, their title would be a Research Assistant.
