The Controlling team is strongly developing its processes. As the Financial Controller, you will contribute to selected financial management tasks and also have a chance to have a great impact in the control environment development in your role.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Join us as a Financial Controller, and this is some of what you’ll be doing:</strong></p> <p>As the Financial Controller you are responsible for selected recurring tasks and taking part in the development of the Controlling function and processes. Your main responsibilities will include:</p> <ul> <li>Controlling the quality and accuracy of the financial accounting of group entities</li> <li>Participating in the month-end closing processes, controlling, e.g. accruals</li> <li>Supporting and instructing stakeholders in reporting and related processes</li> <li>Supporting subsidiary audits</li> <li>Processing of commission calculations</li> <li>Contract analysis, project calculations, revenue related controlling</li> <li>Managing selected financial managing development projects e.g. first project area including bonus process review, and creation of new process, accrual models and controls creations for selected area</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>We’re looking for:</strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Experience of a truly international environment and software development are highly valued to understand the RELEX context.</li> <li>Relevant studies /Master’s degree, e.g. in accounting, finance</li> <li>At least 5 years of experience in accounting, controlling, conducting recurring reporting, or auditing</li> <li>Advanced understanding of FAS accounting standards and statutory reporting</li> <li>Experience IFRS understanding is considered and advantage</li> <li>Fluency in English and the ability to instruct and guide colleagues</li> <li>Ability to work under tight deadlines in a timely and precise manner</li> <li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills</li> <li>Independent, proactive, and enthusiastic work-attitude</li> <li>Good office IT skills, working knowledge of NetSuite in an advantage</li> </ul> <p><strong>Our Helsinki Office</strong></p> <p>RELEXians can be found around the world, but here we’re based in Helsinki.
