As a Private Host & Outdoor Guide at Lapland Luxury, you will play a crucial role in steering the guest experience and delivering extraordinary outdoor adventures to our dear guests. Your outgoing and attentive personality, deep knowledge of the local environment, expertise in outdoor activities, and fluency in English language will be instrumental in creating unique and memorable experiences for our luxury-oriented clientele.

Successful candidates will begin training in mid-October 2023 and the seasonal contract lasts until end of March 2024. Lapland Luxury offers the possibility of long-term employment for noteworthy candidates. 

Your Role as Private Host & Outdoor Guide

- Accompany Lapland Luxury guests throughout their stay and provide the highest degree of customer service and Lappish hospitality.

- Conduct curated guided outdoor experiences such as snowmobile tours, snowshoeing expeditions, northern lights safaris, ice fishing and ice floating, ensuring the highest level of safety and customer satisfaction.

- Ensure the seamless execution of guests’ personalized itinerary, including activities, private dining, housekeeping, and general assistance needs. 

- Maintain and care for all the equipment, ensuring its safety, functionality, and cleanliness.

- Act as a brand ambassador, consistently upholding Lapland Luxury’s standards of excellence and professionalism.

- Collaborate with other departments, including the Operations and Guest Services, to ensure seamless coordination and integration of outdoor activities with overall guest experience.

- Stay informed about weather conditions, natural phenomena, and local regulations to ensure the safety and well-being of guests during outdoor activities.

Qualifications:

- Proficiency in the English language is a must. Knowledge of other languages, including Finnish, is highly valuable.

- A valid driver's license and experience with winter driving are prerequisites for the role 

- Previous experience as a Private Host & Outdoor Guide, or education in the field, is highly valuable.

- Snowmobiling experience and basic maintenance of the snowmobiles are highly valuable.

- Photography knowledge is valuable

- Excellent knowledge of the local area and whole Lapland as well as the Nordic countries

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, openminded and problem-solving attitude. 

- First Aid and CPR certification is valuable.

- Other special skills are valuable.

Extensive training will be provided before the beginning of the season.

We are looking for several guides for full-time job and for part-time job.

Salary is negotiable depending on experience.
