Tax Controller, Transfer Pricing




Wärtsilä Financial Controlling is now looking for a Tax Controller, Transfer Pricing to join our Corporate Tax team of 4 highly motivated and skilled co-workers. The preferred location for the position is in Helsinki, but also Vaasa (Finland) is possible location.
What you will be doing
Your main responsibilities relate to transfer pricing but as a member of the Corporate Tax team you have an excellent opportunity to develop and expand your professional skills in other tax categories. You will not be working on this alone, even though the work requires a high level of independency, as you will have the support from your colleagues. You will report to Tax Manager, Corporate taxes, and work in Wärtsilä’s Helsinki office / or Vaasa office.
For us to be the best match, we expect you to have a BSc or MSc degree in Economics, Financial Accounting or Laws You have 1 to 3 years of work experience in the Tax / Transfer Pricing / Accounting / Audit or relevant experience. For you to succeed in this position, we hope you have a good understanding of business process and tax implications in general. You are a confident user of SAP and have a passion for process development and automation.
Your work will focus on the following responsibilities:
- Support local Wärtsilä companies in preparation of the transfer pricing documentation, using the TP documentation software.
- Conduct a regular review of internal transfer pricing policies and guidelines.
- Assist in data collection for the tax / transfer pricing reporting (i.e., Country-by-Country report, Pillar 2 GloBE, etc).
- Represent the transfer pricing stream in NOVA ERP transformation program (S/4HANA).
- Review existing transfer pricing processes and controls and identify opportunities for process improvement for operational TP.
- Support in transfer pricing audits, when necessary.
- Participates in quarterly closings.
- Training internal stakeholders in issues related to transfer pricing.
As an ideal candidate you have:
- BSc or MSc in Economics / Financial Accounting or equivalent experience.
- Good skills in SAP and other reporting tools, like Qlikview or HFM with ability to quickly adopt new tools.
- Good analytical skills and high attention to detail.
- Solid skills both in written and oral business English.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with ability to build relationships with different stakeholders.
- Positive attitude and a mindset for continues learning.
