Enterprise Architect, Global Functions

We are now looking for an Enterprise Architect to join our Enterprise Architecture team working for a better future. The preferred location for the position is in Finland, either in Helsinki or in Vaasa with a possibility for hybrid remote work. 

What you will be doing and what we expect from you?

In this position, your work will focus to developing the Enterprise Architecture of Wärtsilä and especially for Wärtsilä Global Functions: Finance, HR, Communications & Branding, Corporate Relations & Legal. Your scope is to take holistic approach to Enterprise Architecture of Group Functions domain.

You will not be working on this alone, even though the work requires a high level of independency, as you will have the support from our Solution and Enterprise Architects from IM organization.

For us to be the best match, we expect you to understand complex international business environment and experience from working with different stakeholders, from business Vice President to a technical specialist. As an ideal candidate, you have gained 10+ years of experience in Business and/or IT in global environment. You also possess excellent knowledge of typical Finance and HR processes/applications. Ideally you have a M.Sc. University degree as educational background.

For you to succeed in the position, we hope you can think strategically and have capability to work as trusted advisor towards your stakeholders. You understand what Enterprise architecture work is and know how to create roadmaps, design fit-for-purpose solutions and have needed skills to model and visualize needed changes in your architecture domain.

As Enterprise Architect for Global functions, your work will focus on these responsibilities:

• Co-creation of strategic Information Technology related roadmaps for Global Functions, made together with your key stakeholders
• Describing the needed development actions from business, information, application, and technical aspects to reach desired outcomes
• Based on the co-created roadmap, further planning of signature-ready development initiatives together with IM organization and your key stakeholders
• Guiding and supporting of key development initiatives/projects in Global Functions
• Working as trusted advisor towards your key stakeholders and participating in development ideation.
• In this role, some travel might be required to meet your stakeholders. Thus, we hope you to be ready to travel 1-2 days in a month depending on your location, even though most of the meetings are held virtually.
