We are now looking for a Delivery Lead for our Nova programme. As a Delivery Lead you will be responsible for leading and managing the successful delivery of SAP S/4HANA solution, ensuring we meet quality standards, are completed on time, and stay within budget. You will work closely with Nova Programme Process, Data and Reporting, ERP Development and Architecture teams as well as cross-functional solution teams, stakeholders, and our partner vendors to drive the program's success. You will be part of the Nova program management team.

The preferred location for this position is in Helsinki, Finland, other Wärtsilä locations in Finland can be considered. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Lead and inspire cross-functional teams of experts, consultants, developers, analysts, and other professionals to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Program Management: Develop and maintain the program's integrated delivery plan, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate program progress, issues, and risks to stakeholders
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with Nova projects and proactively develop contingency plans.
  • Resource Management: Allocate and manage project resources efficiently, ensuring team members have the necessary skills and tools to deliver high-quality results both internally and externally
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that Programme deliverables meet the defined quality standards and align with the organization's quality standards
  • Budget Management: Monitor and control project budgets, ensuring that expenditures are within approved limits.
  • Vendor Management: Collaborate closely with Key partners and third-party service providers to ensure their contributions align with program objectives.
  • Change Management: Implement effective change management strategies to minimize disruptions and ensure alignment for key change actions.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and issue logs.

Qualifications:

  • Strong business acumen, and ability to understand business drivers, processes, and different business models like SaaS, and their requirements on ERP capabilities. Priority is given to candidates with a deep understanding of the major program transformation
  • Strong change management, leadership, and effective communication capabilities
  • A team player that has excellent communication skills and ability to interact with people from all organizational levels
  • Positive “can do” mindset and resilience
  • Capable of leading and influencing project leads with fast execution in a matrix set-up.
  • Successful track record in leading large-scale business / IT transformations. Candidates with ERP program experience is an advantage
  • Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural skills couped with experience of running multi-disciplinary global teams § As an ideal candidate for this position, you will have a MSc (or BSc) degree in computer science, business or a relevant field
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience and highly developed business acumen
  • Strong familiarity with modern project management tools, methodologies, and best practices. Project management experience from a top tier consultancy is an advantage.
  • Affinity for IT and data.
  • Very good analytical skills
  • Structured and independent way of working
