What does your future look like?Join our team in a key role in our Apix product development as a Technical Product Manager! You will collaborate closely with the business-oriented Product Owner to ensure the successful development and delivery of the product. Your main responsibilities include translating business requirements into technical specifications. Your daily tasks will include leading the technical aspects of the product development process, making architectural decisions, and guiding the product development team to align with the overall product strategy and roadmap. Together with other teams and stakeholders you actively promote Apix product architectural, security and privacy related items towards company’s best practice, tools and ways of working. Your key responsibilities include:
- Collaboration with the Product Owner to understand the overall product strategy, customer needs, roadmap and business objectives and priorities. You will provide technical insights that contribute to the product's value proposition.
- Active participation in the creation of Apix's product strategy, particularly from a technical perspective and translate these insights into actionable technical plans and initiatives that effectively guide the development team. You will stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies and best practices.
- Providing strong technical leadership by making key decisions about architectural design, technology stack and coding practices. Perform regular code reviews to ensure quality and avoid overly complicated structures. You will foster a collaborative and innovative environment and mentor the team to select the optimal solutions to complex technical challenges and ensure their effective implementation. You will lead the technical execution of the product roadmap.
- Driving the architectural decisions for the product considering scalability, security, performance and maintainability. Collaborate with the development team to ensure the product is built on a solid technical foundation.
- Assessing technical and security risks and potential challenges in advance and developing contingency plans to mitigate risks.
Most of your team is located at our headquarters in Espoo, but our other locations are in Turku, Tampere, Oulu, and Jyväskylä. We work with a flexible hybrid model.
With these skills you are one step aheadWe expect you to have several years of experience in software development in a lead developer, technical product owner or architect role, and a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering or related technical field. What we would also like to see:
- Experience participating in architectural design discussions and code reviews. Demonstrated willingness to embrace new technologies, adapt to changes and drive innovation within the product development process.
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate and collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams and stakeholders.
- Experience in mentoring and guiding team members to achieve technical excellence. Ability to identify technical challenges, propose solutions and drive the team towards effective problem-solving.
- Strong expertise in relevant backend languages like Java, Go, JavaScript frameworks.
- Strong experience with frontend languages and libraries like HTML, CSS, JavaScript as well as relevant frameworks like Vue.js, React.
- In-depth understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Nomad).
- Expertise in designing and implementing software architecture for complex systems with a focus on functionality, performance, resilience, scalability and security.
- Demonstrated prior experience from network invoice processing and message operator industry practices and standards, and familiarity with network invoice's TEAPPSXML, Finvoice and Peppol and logistics EDIFACT message types are considered an advantage.
