On-Call Trainee, Purchasing and Logistics

We in Wärtsilä ANCS (Automation, Navigation and Control Systems) are now looking for an On-Call Trainee to join our Materials Management, Logistics team / Operative Purchasing Team.
The position is temporary (25h / Week) and the preferred location for the position is in Vaasa, Finland, but also Turku or Helsinki can be considered. Hybrid working model is possible.
For us to be the best match, we expect you to have SAP and practical knowledge and experience of logistics and / or operative purchasing.
As an On-Call Trainee your work will focus on these responsibilities:
- Collect HS-Codes / Custom tariff codes and Country of Origin Information from invoices or directly from suppliers.
- Update and maintain SAP supplier-, Import-, export- and material master data accordingly.
- Creating, confirming, and expediting of purchase orders
- Creating pick up-requests and transportation bookings
- Import and Export according to instructions.
- Supporting possible operational development projects
- Serving our customer by ensuring our promises are kept.
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
- Good knowledge and experience what comes to the logistics and purchasing (preferably SAP)
- Positive attitude and pro-active thinking
- Honesty and integrity are a must.
- Customer centricity
- Basic understanding of master data
- Capability to work in a global and virtually lead team.
- Fluency in English, both verbal and written
- Student in relevant field
