As a Tech Lead, you play a significant role in bringing this mission into life, and driving our product development forward.

You’ll work with our Yousician product, set our team up for success and bring a user centric approach to our product development. In this role, you’ll drive our product development forward by gaining in-depth understanding of our users, exploring new ways to create value for them, and bringing the vision to life in the technical team. You play an active role in the engineering team, lead by example and create an environment where the work is enjoyable and fun and where the team can work efficiently.

What you will do

You’ll lead the technical team, and drive our product development forward by envisioning how we can create value for our ever-growing user base. You’re day-to-day tasks include: 

• Playing a key role in the product creation. You’re interested in our product and users, and have a passion for driving our product forward and finding new ways to create value for our users.
• Leading the technical implementation and architectural choices in the team. You’re responsible for the big picture, understand how to best utilize the expertise, skills and potential in your team, and don’t hesitate to jump into hands-on development work when needed!
• Managing the team and taking care of the team members and their wellbeing. You’re a leader who creates a positive, safe atmosphere around you.

Who you are

You’re an experienced tech professional, who is able to not only lead the team’s technical implementation but also understand the product and user needs, and take care of the team and its wellbeing. You might be a generalist, or someone with a specialization in one particular area. We’re looking for a new lead with: 

• Excellent technical skills. Our tech stack consists of, for example, Unity, Python, AWS and MongoDB. We don’t expect you to master all of them, but require a strong understanding or specialization in at least one area.
• +5 years of experience in senior level technical position(s)
• Understanding of architecture and technical choices, and the ability to lead the technical implementation 
• Previous experience and demonstrated skills in managing a team
• True passion for product development, and ability and strong interest in understanding the user needs. Ability to communicate and bring your vision into life when leading the technical team 
• Good communication skills, and fluency in English
