Tampereen yliopiston yhteiskuntatieteiden tiedekuntaan haetaan nyt yliopistotutkijaa Suomen akatemian rahoittamaan Kokemuksen historian huippuyksikköön, eletyn uskon historian ryhmään 18 kuukauden mittaiselle erikseen sovittavalle jaksolle vuosina 2024-2025.  

Tampereen yliopiston yhteiskuntatieteiden tiedekunnassa toimii Kokemuksen historian huippuyksikkö 2018–2025. Huippuyksikkö tarjoaa kannustavan ja innostavan työskentely-ympäristön ja erinomaiset mahdollisuudet kehittää osaamistaan ja kehittyä tutkimusuralla kansainvälisessä ympäristössä. Tehtävänkuvaus 

Yliopistotutkijan tehtävänä on tutkia kokemuksen historiaa ja merkitystä eletyn uskon historian osana oman, yhdessä hankkeen johdon kanssa sovitun tutkimussuunnitelmansa mukaisesti. Yliopistotutkijan tehtäviin kuuluvat itsenäinen tutkimustyö, johon kuuluu sekä aineiston kerääminen ja analyysi sekä koko hankkeen teoreettisiin näkökulmiin kontribuoiminen. Lisäksi yliopistotutkijan odotetaan aktiivisesti suunnittelevan oman tutkimusryhmän perustamista ja osallistuvan tutkimusrahoituksen hankintaan. 

Tehtävään valittavan edellytetään aktiivisesti edistävän tutkimustaan ja julkaisevan tutkimustuloksiaan. Lisäksi hänen tulee osallistua säännöllisiin projektikokouksiin, hankkeen tutkimusryhmän toimintaan sekä esitellä tutkimustuloksiaan oman alansa seminaareissa ja akateemisissa konferensseissa. Tehtävään kuuluu 5–10 % erikseen sovittavia opetus- ja hallintotehtäviä yliopistossa. 

Edellytykset  

Yliopistotutkijan tehtävään valittavalta edellytetään tohtorintutkintoa soveltuvalta historia-alalta sekä näyttöjä tohtorintutkinnon jälkeisestä korkeatasoisesta tutkimustyöstä ja kansainvälisestä julkaisemisesta. Tehtävään valittavalta edellytetään kykyä harjoittaa kansainvälisesti korkeatasoista tieteellistä tutkimusta. Hakijalla tulee olla erinomaiset analyyttiset ja metodologiset taidot, ja hänen on kyettävä työskentelemään sekä itsenäisesti että yhteistyössä osana tutkimusryhmää. Edellytämme osaamista laadullisesta tutkimuksesta humanistisissa ja/tai yhteiskuntatieteissä.  

Huippuyksikkö on kansainvälinen työyhteisö. Hakijoilla tulee olla erinomainen kirjallinen ja suullinen englannin kielen taito. Suomen ja ruotsin kielen taito katsotaan eduksi, muttei ole välttämätön. Olethan valmis esittämään pyydettäessä todisteet ansioistasi. 

Tarjoamme 

Työsuhde on määräaikainen 18 kuukauden ajaksi vuosille 2024-2025. Aloituspäivämäärä on neuvoteltavissa. Työsuhteessa sovelletaan työsopimuslain mukaista koeaikaa.    

Tehtävän palkkaus määräytyy yliopistojen opetus- ja tutkimushenkilöstön palkkausjärjestelmän mukaisesti.  Yliopistotutkijan tehtävän vaativuustaso sijoittuu tasoille 6–7. Lisäksi maksetaan henkilökohtaiseen suoriutumiseen perustuvaa palkanosaa. Tyypillinen aloituspalkka on n. 4200-4600€.

Job Description 

The senior research fellow will study the history of experience and its meanings as a part of the history of lived religion. They will conduct research according to the research plan agreed with the project leaders. The fellow is expected to conduct research, based on their source materials, and to contribute to the theoretical work of the Centre as a whole.  

The successful candidate will actively further their own research and to publish their results. The university research fellow is expected to plan and apply funding to establish their own research research group and the future research of the centre. They will participate in regular project meetings and seminars, the research group’s joint work, and to present their work in relevant seminars and academic conferences. They are expected to carry out teaching or administrative duties for 5-10% of their working time. 

 Requirements

The selected candidate must hold a doctorate in a history-related field in social sciences or humanities, and have a proven track record of high quality research and international publications.  

The selected candidate should have the ability to conduct independent, high-quality scientific research. The candidate should have excellent analytical and methodological skills and be able to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a research team. We expect familiarity with the history of experience, history of emotions and/or social history.  

The Centre of Excellence in the History of Experience is an international workplace. Excellent written and oral English skills are required. In addition, at least good command of Finnish and/or Swedish are considered an advantage.  Please be prepared to provide proof of your qualifications upon request.

The position is fixed term for 18 months during 2024-2025. The starting date is negotiable. The post is subject to a probationary period. 

The salary will be based on the Finnish University Salary System (General collective agreement for Universities). The salary of a senior research fellow is at levels 6-7. In addition to the basic salary, a supplementary portion of the salary will be paid based on the appointee’s qualifications and experience. A typical starting salary varies between 4200-4600 Euros/month.
