BUSINESS DEVELOPER FOR WIRELESS CHARGING R2B PROJECT
 

to join a team of research experts of the Research to Business project Aalto-R2B-Omnidirectional Wireless Charging (OWL). The OWL project focuses on developing a disruptive wireless charging technology that is capable of charging consumer devices placed at any position or orientation within the charging area. Traditional wireless charging technologies require precise alignment between the charging pad and the device or a specific holder. Therefore, the wireless charging simply replaces the charging cable with a contactless one-to-one link which does not provide the true freedom of charging. We have introduced a radically new wireless charging technology to achieve simple, robust, and efficient charging with fully free positioning capabilities. The OWL project will focus on advancing the technology readiness level of our solution through technical and comprehensive market research, preparing the technology for commercialization.

What you’ll do 

You’ll actively identify partners for the project and negotiate with them. You also prepare commercialization paths to meet the potential clients’ demands. An important task is to make a go-to-market plan for the services and products of the project and map out different commercialization options e.g. start-up establishment.

You will be employed by Aalto University for the duration of the project. The project has already received funding from Business Finland for a duration of 18 months, starting earliest January 2024. The position can be either full-time or part-time depending on your skills and role.

Who are we looking for?  

We are looking for a business-minded person with an entrepreneurial mindset. You don’t need to be an expert in the wireless power transfer technology, but you are expected to have knowledge of hardware business or product commercialization and share a genuine interest in building a commercial business of a superb deep-tech startup. We have the technology experts and you bring the business drive and experience.
