We are now looking for an experienced Development Manager to join our Data Quality and Maintenance team in Helsinki, Vaasa, or Lahti.

You will be joining the team which improves data quality in product, customer, network and billing information domains. Our mission is to provide relevant and quality data to be used in business processes. In this role, you are at the centre of our data quality work.

As a Development Manager, your role will include:

• Analyzing data and data models containing customer, product, billing and network data.
• Perform data validation (quality checks).
• Implementing data quality rules to our Data Quality Management Tool.
• Developing and implementing data quality metrics
• Developing our ways of working with data quality, metrics and analysis.

Is this you? 

To achieve goals in this role, you must be fluent in communication. You understand the business needs and translate them into development needs. As a person, you are eager and curious to learn and work together. You have a structured work approach with a focus on results and the ability to work under high pressure. Your mentality is “hands-on, can-do”. We trust you are used to work in virtual organizations and can express yourself fluently in English and Finnish.

We expect you to have a strong professional background with

• Wide database and data model experience and knowledge from different environments
• Hands-on competence in Oracle PL/SQL (Oracle database) and Windows servers, additional competence in Unix/Linux basics and Python.
• Proven track record of leading development projects
• Experience in SAFe framework and agile development methods
• Understanding of IT architecture and solutions and information management (certification in e.g., SID seen as a plus)
• Experience in the telecom business is a plus
• Fluent writing and speaking skills in Finnish and English
• A genuine interest in the future trends in the field of data science
