Data and AI/ML is keys for the future success of Telia Company and thus Telia Broadband Data Mediation Team is looking for a Machine Learning Engineer for the Broadband Big Data solution area to strengthen our mobile core and IP network performance management with ML services.

Broadband Data Mediation Team is part of Telia Group IT Organization. This team is the IT solution owner for collection, mediation, and processing of the data from IP transport and access network, mobile core, and various fixed data services. These data are critical for Telia’s business and used for service assurance, network automation, crowd analytics, security monitoring, business customer portal product offering, etc.

The team is also responsible for the network performance application built on top. AI/ML is important part of the applications in this domain. The typical use cases for AI/ML is anomaly detection, network automation, root cause analysis, language based network performance query, etc. You will work with ML data pipeline development and maintenance for these applications. The pipelining tools we are currently use are Apache Kafka, Cloud functions, Dataflow and Big Query. The day-to-day team collaboration is on Jira, Confluence, MS Teams, and Slack.

Our Broadband Big Data agile team is the IT solution partner for the business to ensure the development and maintenance of IP network performance data productions. Our solution is part of Telia’s network services like L2VPN, Datanet, Cloud Connect, IP Peering, IP Core and Metro, 5G Mobile Core network, Enterprise Mobile Network, Cloud Data Center Networks.

The team consists of DevOps Engineers, SRE, rchitect, software engineers as well as scrum master and product owner. We have a strong and supportive family who is really looking forward to meeting a new member! With us, you will have an opportunity to work with a team across 4 countries in the Nordic and Baltic. You will contribute to solutions that are used by stakeholders from all six countries where Telia operate.

Your responsibilities:

· Develop, upgrade, and maintain ML data pipelines and ML lifecycles management.

· Leaving the codebase in a better state than you found it.

· Communicate with IP network device expert on protocols, data dimensions, and metrics definitions.

Your experience:

· Python programing for data engineering.

· Events driven data pipeline development.

· Big Query ML.

· Apache Kafka and Elastic Search.

· ML model production delivery and operations.

· ML and Data Science modeling and algorithm knowledge is an advantage.
