Energy Warranty Services is now looking for a Warranty Supervisor to Energy Warranty Services Central team in Finland. Energy Warranty Services (EWS) will take the responsibility for warranty handling of complete Energy scope of supply. This is to be in line with the Energy Business strategy, in closer collaboration with Energy Customers and in understanding of the energy transition and help to complete Energy scope of supply.
 
The position is offered on a permanent basis and the successful candidate will be based in Finland.

What will you be doing?

In this role the Warranty Supervisor will do objective evaluation and decision making of registered complex warranty claims with close support from expert teams from Technical Services (auxiliary and engine) and Product Teams. The goal is to minimise warranty and failure costs for Wärtsilä and down-time for Energy customers globally. The position provides a work environment that is both independent and challenging with good opportunities to expand the professional network, supported by experienced and creative colleagues.

As a Warranty Supervisor your work will include the following responsibilities:

• Always act in a safe manner 
• Administrate warranty claims and respond to them in a fast and professional way in line with defined warranty handling process, including data maintenance for relevant products/projects.
• Secure in cooperation with the Product Warranty Management that necessary corrective actions resulting from complex warranty claims are taken in a timely fashion.
• Define/organize/secure needed actions and order replacement parts / manpower to rectify warranty claims in a fast and professional manner, including participating in the re-claiming process towards vendors.
• Monitor and ensure that sufficient warranty provisions are in place
• Minimise warranty and failure costs for Wärtsilä and down-time for customers
• Ensure that warranty policies are applied
• Escalate technical/financial issues in timely manner
• Focus on achieving results, together
• Proactive claim follow-up with customer
• Follow Wärtsilä business ethics and rules

 
The below will enable you to shine in this role:

• M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Mechanical or similar education
• Fluent written and spoken German & English is a must in this role
• At least 3 years of experience in warranty claim handling
• Experience in customer interaction
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Teamwork skills and cultural knowledge
• Motivation to learn and grow professionally
• Experience in successful collaboration with key stakeholders
• Service minded approach
• Understanding of the customers’ business
• Fluent written and spoken German & English
• Knowledge in Incoterms and SAP CS
