External Scholarship Specialist

We are looking for a specialist for Aalto University's learning services to
identify external scholarship opportunities for international tuition-paying students and promote their introduction at Aalto University. The position is full-time and fixed-term until 31 December 2024. The role is located at Aalto University's learning services in the Talent Boost project.
One of Aalto University's Talent Boost goals is to attract talented international students to Aalto and Finland as well as to increase visibility of Aalto University's degree programmes in the international student recruitment market. As a specialist, your goal is to expand the scholarship opportunities of international students who pay tuition fees by exploring international scholarship cooperation opportunities and promoting their implementation. External scholarships provide funding for international students who wish to study abroad. For example, foundations, private funds, states and organisations grant these scholarships. External scholarships are an excellent way for international students to finance their studies, and they help many students realize their dreams of studying abroad.
Your role is to map out external grant opportunities for international students paying tuition fees, to identify suitable partners for Aalto University, and to promote cooperation with these actors. You actively communicate with the grant providers and prepare cooperation models for decision-making purposes. Your tasks include developing and streamlining processes related to the payment and management of external grants. If necessary, you will also support the Talent Boost team in other project tasks.
We are looking for applicants who have a suitable higher education degree, an active and independent working approach, and the ability to process complex subjects and data. You are development-oriented and have excellent negotiation, communication and interaction skills. You work well in international environments and use fluent English both in writing and orally.
We appreciate previous experience in international cooperation or projects. Knowledge of university administration and scholarships is considered a great advantage. We appreciate Finnish language skills.

Interested?
The specialist position is fixed-term until 31 December 2024. We hope that the selected person will be able to start in early January 2024. The contract is full-time (36.25 h/week). The salary of the position is determined in accordance with the university salary system in use at Aalto University, in category 9 (service personnel). The salary is expected to be between €3,400 and €3,900 depending on your previous experience and expertise.
