We are now looking for a Cyber Security Architect to join our Voyage Services R&D team.


The preferred location for the position is in Helsinki (Finland), but also Vaasa, Turku and Hamburg, Germany are possible locations. 

What you will be doing:


In this role, you will work with development teams and guide them to practical solutions to their cyber security challenges. You will maintain visibility to the cyber security maturity of our products, development practices, and processes. You will work with compliance experts to translate cyber requirements to the context of our products and communicate those in practical terms to development teams, product management, and other relevant parties. You will collaborate with other Wärtsilä cyber security teams. In your work, you will be supported by Voyage Services architecture community, Wärtsilä Cyber Security, and other cyber security-related teams. 
 
As a Cyber Security Architect, your work will focus on these responsibilities:

  • Work with development teams to find the best solutions for cybersecurity-related parts of the system architectures and development lifecycles.
  • Maintain visibility to the state of cyber security maturity as part of company-wide processes. 
  • Work with cyber compliance experts and translate requirements from regulations and standards into the context of the products and services.
  • Collaborating with other Wärtsilä cyber security teams and driving towards alignment in tools, processes, and other practices. 

 
Other possible tasks and duties might include: 

  • Participate in cyber incident responses.

 
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have: 

  • Experience on systems that are public cloud, on-premise, or edge computing systems
  • Work experience in software development as a developer, architect, or in a similar role
  • Ability to translate internal and external requirements to concrete features.
  • Previous experience on IEC 62443, IEC 61162-460 and IACS UR E26/E27
  • Public cloud and on-premise/edge domain
  • Suitable degree (IT, Cyber Security)
  • Strong social skills
  • Curious mind and enthusiasm
