We are now looking for a

Grant Advisor  

for Aalto University Research Services. We wish the person selected will be able to start as soon as possible. The position is permanent.

Your role and

As a Grant Advisor, you will contribute to the continuation of our University's cutting-edge research. You will advise researchers and research teams on the management, coordination, funding terms and project management practices of externally funded research projects at the University.

You will also be responsible for training and communication on research funding issues, liaising with research funding bodies, and providing guidance, statistics, presentations and contributing to our development activities. You may also be asked to act as a project manager for large-scale projects.

Your network and team

You will be part of Aalto Research Services Post-award team and will work closely with Pre-award Services, Academic Legal Services, Financial Services and other research support services.

Your experience and ambitions

To be successful in this role, you should have a Master's degree and experience in research project management. We expect a good knowledge of the main research funding instruments (e.g. EU Horizon Programmes). You are able to search for information from different sources and to communicate and interpret the different terms and conditions of funders to academic stakeholders. We work both in Finnish and English, so good oral and written command of both languages is essential.

If you have good interpersonal skills and you are customer service oriented and flexible, this could be your future role. A systematic, accurate and self-directed approach to work will also be an asset. In addition, we value project management experience.
