We are now looking for a Project Engineer/Senior Project Engineer, Mechanical to join our team.

Position information:

This position is permanent and the preferred location is in Vaasa, Finland.

Main responsibilities:

  • Safeguard that works under own responsibility area are executed according to contract requirements, specifications, instructions, and policies
  • Support project and sales teams with project-specific mechanical and process design
  • Carry out and coordinate assigned project activities, integration engineering and technical correspondence with internal team members, vendors, customers, and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Create project-specific technical specifications and design requirements for purchasing purposes
  • Carry out sub-supplier delivery and quality follow-ups
  • Act as a stand-in for Chief Project Engineers
  • Support the site team during installation and commissioning

Development responsibilities:

  • Participate in developing and maintaining of tools and work methods in own responsibility area
  • To give, collect, and handle feedback regarding technical solutions and complaints
  • Provide lessons learned initiatives for developing issues in own responsibility area

Requirements:

  • BSc. or MSc. in Mechanical or Process Engineering
  • Being self-driven, having good teamwork skills, and motivation to learn and grow professionally 
  • Willingness to travel as well as understand and work in diverse cultural environments
  • Ability to communicate in English
  • Previous working experience from a related field is seen as a benefit
  • Experience with SharePoint, Autocad, Navis, or SAP is considered beneficial
