Wärtsilä Delivery Centre Sustainable Technology Hub (STH) is looking for a Purchasing Trainee in Operative Purchasing.
Position information:
This position is located in Vaasa, Finland. We hope that you could start working during March-April 2024. The duration of the traineeship is 6-8 months.

Main responsibilities and tasks:
As a Purchasing Trainee, you are responsible for tasks related to operative purchasing. Examples of your main responsibilities:
- Ensure that the right amount of required material is available just on time when needed
- Tasks related to forecasting, requirement & delivery planning, ordering and order supervision for assigned component portfolios and suppliers
- Manage document revision to supplier
- Maintain material master data
- Optimize the inventory turnover
What does it take to shine in this role?
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Studies in Engineering or Economics or similar
- Good communication, teamwork and social skills
- Interested in supply chain management-related topics
- Working fluency in English and Finnish, both written and spoken

This trainee position is part of our collaboration with Suomen Mentorit. This program is for recent graduates (max 18 months from graduation) or students who are graduating within 6 months. To be a suitable candidate, you must have a current residence and valid residence permit that allows you to work in Finland.
All Suomen Mentorit -positions have a competitive entry-level salary of 3 000€/month.
