We are looking for an Assistant Manager / Manager Trade Finance and Cash Management to join our team. This position is temporary for 18 months and the location is Vaasa, Finland.
The main responsibility in this position:
- Providing support to Wärtsilä Marine Sales and Project Management in items related to contractual payment terms and trade finance instruments
- Ensuring that the customers fulfil the contractual payment and financial obligations
- Applying and controlling the trade finance instruments in customer delivery contracts
- Mitigating Wärtsilä´s risks under trade finance-related financial transactions
- Monitoring of incoming customer project payments and ensuring correct clearings and maintenance of the payments in the systems
- Supporting the analysis and reporting of external and internal receivables and advances
Your role and responsibilities:
As an Assistant Manager / Manager Trade Finance and Cash Management, your work will include tasks listed above within trade finance, cash management and account receivable analysis. The tasks can also be adjusted based on your individual skills and interests. You’ll be working as a part of the Marine Financial Business Services, Trade Finance and Cash Management - team with diverse expertise.
Requirements for the position:
- Commercial education (B. Sc. or M. Sc.)
- 1-3 years working experience in foreign trade, preferably trade finance
- Good understanding of project business and payment terms used in international trade
- General knowledge of cash management, credit management and financial accounting in international trade
Qualifications/to be able to succeed in the position we expect you to have:
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a positive attitude
- Good command of English both in writing and speaking. Other languages are considered as an advantage
- Systematic and organized way of working
