The Lead Architect team is a group of highly experienced software people who take part both in actual product development and decide on the principles and tooling how we develop our software.

We’re looking for a Lead Architect (Consumer Digital Services & Elisa Viihde).

One of your main projects would be to spearhead the technical development of Elisa Viihde and help us define the vision how we do things in the future.We aim to grow the already large user base and build new things on top of the already winning entertainment video service.

The job will consist of varying levels of work ranging from technical planning to cloud transformation and steering hands-on development to discussing with business about the benefits of new technology. In the job, you can use your talents in a creative and versatile way in one of our most important products! You get to make choices with the surrounding team and steer development work to the right direction following our product vision. We constantly learn from each other, seniors and juniors working alongside.

At the same time, you will have to balance between the realities of the service with hundreds of thousands of active users: keeping the system alive for users, new requirements from the business, security aspects, cloud transformation and also technical debt.

The Viihde team mostly works in Pasila (Helsinki),but like the rest of the elisians, we work flexibly (in Finland).

What we expect from you:

• Solid experience in agile software development
• Experience in leading technical planning and excellent tech communication skills
• Experience in designing services on top of Public Clouds (GCP/AWS), selecting cloud technologies and frameworks
• Strong hands-on coding history and experience with modern software development technologies, at least some of the following: Golang, Java, Containers, REST APIs, MongoDB, Github Actions
• The ability for both independent planning and decision-making
• Excellent collaboration skills and fluent proficiency in English
