Orion’s Operative Production unit is now looking to hire a Head of Operative Procurement & Purchase-to-Pay to an interesting, diverse, and international role as the owner of effective and competent Operative Procurement and Purchase to Pay (P2P) and Business Partner Master Data (BPMD) processes.

Description of Position

As the Head of Operative Procurement & P2P you will manage the daily operative activities efficiently, ensuring the availability of our products & services and continuously improving our main processes (P2P and BPMD) with the team. It is important in this role that you enjoy working independently and responsibly, and process development is close to your heart. you will create long-term visions for the future of operative procurement, P2P & BPMD, while also taking action to solve short-term development issues.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop operative procurement and P2P operations across the entire group, including both indirect procurement and direct materials.
• Overall development of business partner master data process across the entity group as the process owner, with the collaboration of Global Master Data Process Owner.
• Lead and manage the operative procurement team to ensure efficient and cost-effective procurement processes.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments, including strategic procurement, External Supply Operations, finance, operations, master data and logistics, to support business objectives.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the procurement team to foster professional growth and development.

The role is based in Espoo and includes frequent travel. You will report directly to the Director of Supply Chain & Procurement. 

Description of unit

The Operative Procurement unit belongs to the Supply Chain and Procurement within Orion Global Operations. The unit's main responsibility is to work closely with internal and external parties to make sure that all direct and indirect materials & services are delivered on time, in the right location, in the right quantity and at cost efficiently. In Operative Procurement organization, there are about 15 procurement professionals working in Finland & India (5 direct reports in Finland, 1 direct in India, total team 15).

Requirements

To succeed in the Head of Operative Procurement & P2P position, you possess the following qualifications and professional work experience.

• Solid experience in the field of procurement and understanding of operational procurement processes & P2P
• Evidence of effective development of procurement processes & tools
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Experience in a managerial role with excellent social skills.
• Master's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Good proficiency in both Finnish and English; proficiency in other languages is considered an advantage.
• Knowledge of procurement IT systems (SAP, S4/Hana, Coupa, Ariba etc.) is advantageous, and familiarity with lean operations is a plus.
