Head of People & Culture Telia Finland

The Head of People & Culture (P&C) of Telia Finland plays a key strategic role as HR business partner to the Telia Finland CEO, Heli Partanen, and the rest of the Finnish management team on their mission to drive the successful implementation of Telia’s strategy, including an ongoing transformation of the business.

The location of the role is Helsinki, Finland.

The Head of P&C Telia Finland is a key member of the Group HR Leadership Team and plays an instrumental role in shaping the future HR strategy of Telia Company and aligning that to the local HR organization.

The role includes, but is not limited to:

  • Defining and implementing a clear and priority focused people agenda for Telia Finland, also reflecting the Group People strategy and agenda

  • Lead a team of 10 HR professionals, and work closely with other country HR leaders

  • Driving leadership development and performance management in the organization. Together with the Telia Finland CEO develop the Finnish Leadership Team to be a high performing team demonstrating the expected leadership traits

  • Enable HR function and the team to deliver results through an analytical and data driven approach

  • Ensuring that workforce development and organizational design and structures are clearly aligned to business strategies/logic

  • Ensuring all critical global HR processes and key strategic HR initiatives work well in the Finnish organization 

  • Representing the Telia Finland perspectives in the Group People Leadership team, and contributing to the development of the Group People function and strategy

  • Building relationships and managing a large range of stakeholder relations internally and externally

Is this you?

We will be looking for a well-regarded Head of P&C with proven leadership experience and a strong track record from broad CHRO/Head of HR roles or from broad business area/divisional/country HR role(s). Previous experience from large international company is expected.

As a person we are looking for an analytical, structured, and engaging individual with business acumen and a high ambition to drive change and achieve targets.

In all of your work, you rely on strong stakeholder management and great collaborations. You stand for and drive the HR strategy and overall business agenda whilst building bridges. You empower people to find efficient solutions, look at new perspectives and share best practices

You are an experienced leader that brings out the best of your team and make sure that everyone is aligned on the journey ahead.

You have a university degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or other related field(s).  You need to have fluent oral and written language skills both in Finnish as well in English as we work in a global setting and environment.

Ultimately, the most relevant and suitable candidate for the role will be the one who brings the most optimal mix of experiences, competencies, and personality/leadership traits to match the challenges in the role and, importantly, the culture and dynamics of Telia Finland.
