We are looking for a Manager, OT assets with main responsibility in leading our OTAM (OT Asset Management) vision, development, ecosystem and services as a foundation for our cyber security. The preferred location for this position is Vaasa or Helsinki, Finland but also other Wärtsilä locations are negotiable. We offer the possibility of hybrid remote work. 
  
Your role and responsibilities:
 
As a Manager, OT assets your work will include:

  • Leading our OTAM (OT Asset Management) vision, development, ecosystem and services
  • Leading and guiding tools, processes and methods associated with and supporting our OTAM roadmap
  • Ensuring service applicability and operation for key customers (internal and external)
  • Supporting product teams, and business units in OT asset management-related work
  • Leading and supervising subcontractors and partners in the context of OTAM development

 
In your role, you will also have the possibility to work as part of a larger security team and community, providing and applying your knowledge to OT and product security at large, such as:

  • Technical analysis and guidance on OT and product security
  • Advisory and support in vulnerability coordination and incident response with Wärtsilä PSIRT
  • Cyber security guidance and consultancy to internal and external customers
  • Advising and supporting the development of CSMS for operational technology
  • Piloting and testing out OT security best practices, methods and tools


The tasks can also be adjusted based on your skills and interests. You’ll be working as a part of a highly skilled and energetic Wärtsilä cyber security team with diverse expertise.
 
Requirements for the position: 

  • Knowledge of Operational Technology (OT) equipment from a variety of manufacturers and industrial protocols
  • IT and OT service management experience and willingness to learn and develop
  • Bachelor’s Degree in SW development, Computer Engineering/Science, Automation and Electrical Engineering or an equivalent relevant technical degree and professional experience
  • 5+ years of applicable work experience

  
Qualifications/to be able to succeed in the position we expect you to have: 
 

  • Capability to manage both technical and administrative tasks
  • Good networking and engagement skills
  • Proactive & solution-oriented attitude
  • Good writing and verbal communication skills
  • Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:
  • Knowledge of applicable cyber security standards, particularly those involving critical infrastructure and networks
  • Knowledge of common scripting and programming languages
  • Subject matter expert (SME) in one or multiple areas of security development
