We are now looking for a Technical Account Manager to join our European Simulation Customer Delivery & Support team of 9, working for a better future. The preferred location for the position is in Helsinki, Finland, but also Portsmouth, UK, are possible locations. We offer the possibility of hybrid work.

What you will be doing

In this position, your work will include to manage key Smart Support accounts and oversee the deployment of Maritime Simulation systems projects. On a typical day, you might be starting with helping our sales team with system design questions for a system upgrade at one of our key customers sites. You then end the day with a meeting with one of our customers, trying to pin down, in a consultative way, how we can better support their operations. You will not be working on this alone, even though the work requires a high level of independence, as you will have support from your Customer Delivery & Support team but also from the Product, R&D and Product Sales functions. We are in the end one team that provides the best overall experience for our customers.

For us to be the best match, we expect you to have 5+ years’ experience in project management in a systems integration environment and experience from working with IT projects, including network, computers, operating systems, and related technologies. As an ideal candidate, you have gained experience from the maritime technology industry and have a degree from a higher technical education; BSc (Hons) or above. For you to succeed in the position, we hope you to have a curious mindset and that you thrive when your work creates value for our customers.

As Technical Account Manager, your work will focus on these responsibilities:

  • Account and Contract Management
  • Project Management
  • Simulator System Design- supporting sales during offering phase with subject matter expertise
  • Technical Support and Field Engineering- hands on technical tasks and troubleshooting of simulation systems 

You will shine in this role, when you have:

  • Interpersonal skills – verbal and written (English)
  • Skills in PC/network installation and commissioning.
  • A proactive personality, self-starter able to jump in, ramp up and lead without a lot of oversight or direction.
  • A troubleshooting/fault-finding mindset.
  • Physical ability to cope with allocated work and traveling up to 40% of the time.


In this role, some travel is required to meet with our customers around Europe. Thus, we hope you to be ready to travel approximately 40%, even though most of the meetings are held virtually.
