We are looking for a Technical Lead Platform SW, you will be our go to person for insights in our embedded Linux system. The preferred location for this position is Vaasa, Finland but also Turku, Finland is possible. We offer a possibility to hybrid remote work. 
  
Your role and responsibilities: 
 
As a platform software technical lead, you will be the main expert for topics embedded Linux and hardware abstraction. You will communicate with our development teams to provide guidance on the technical implementation. Together with architects and technical leads from other areas you will define the technical vision for our platform software. You’ll be working as a member in one of our development teams. You will frequently interact with developers from other teams in area of platform software. Our working methodology is agile on scale and we hope you are familiar with agile methodologies.
 
Requirements for the position: 

  • Ability to form a technical vision for our software platform and communicate it
  • Experience in defining hardware abstraction
  • Requirement management and system modelling skills
  • Excellent teamworking, coaching and communication skills.
  • Fluency in verbal and written English, our everyday work language is English
  • Experience from technical leadership positions

 
Qualifications/to be able to succeed in the position we expect you to have: 
 

  • Competence in the following areas:
    • CI tools such as Atlassian or Azure devops
    • Experience in C programming
    • CPU and FPGA architecture
  • Experience from embedded Linux and device driver development
  • Digital signal processing skills
  • Hands-on experience in developing software for real-time embedded systems
  • Experience in managing development initiatives that include suppliers
