House of AI is a multidisciplinary research center for artificial intelligence and its applications at Aalto University. The center conducts high-quality research and effective business cooperation. House of AI's operations are based on the excellent artificial intelligence research at Aalto University. Aalto University combines research in technology, arts and business sciences and promotes sustainable development solutions and the competitiveness of Finnish industry. 

The Finnish AI Region (FAIR) European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH) is a consortium funded by the European Union and Business Finland. It supports the use of artificial intelligence in small and medium-sized enterprises, especially in the fields of smart cities, health technology and digital services. 

We are looking for

Corporate Relations Manager 

to support the adoption of artificial intelligence in the Finnish SME sector.

Are you enthusiastic about artificial intelligence research and skilled in building effective cooperation between universities and the SME sector? We are looking for a visionary and practical professional to join our growing AI community and take a key role in developing the Finnish AI ecosystem. 

Your main job will be to act as a liaison between the House of AI and the business sector. You will be responsible for developing and coordinating cooperation between companies and the Aalto University research community. This means mapping the Finnish SME sector, communicating with companies, and preparing cooperation projects between the university and companies. 

As part of your job duties, you will work as a work package leader in the FAIR project. The project is coordinated by the City of Helsinki and Aalto University brings research collaboration opportunities to FAIR through the House of AI. As a work package leader, you will coordinate FAIR's customer management function and act as a Customer Manager for approximately 20 FAIR customers. In addition, you will participate in other FAIR activities. 

You will work closely with researchers in the field of artificial intelligence and be based in the Corporate Relations (CR) team of Aalto University. From CR you will receive support and knowledge of Aalto's operating methods in corporate collaboration, and you will be able to participate in the unit's meetings and the development of corporate collaboration at Aalto level. The work will take place in collaboration with several other actors at Aalto and elsewhere, such as the Finnish Center for Artificial Intelligence FCAI, AI Finland (Technology Industry Association) and AI Factory (CSC). 

You are a goal-oriented, practical person who performs tasks efficiently from start to finish. You actively expand your networks and are able to understand the needs of companies and the opportunities offered by universities and other consortium partners to meet these needs, building a thriving ecosystem. 

To succeed in this role, you need: 

• Master's degree or PhD, in addition to these, R&D experience in a company is considered an advantage
• Ability and desire to develop your own AI expertise and gain an overview of AI research and teaching activities at Aalto University, including existing business collaborations
• Experience in a company or working with companies
• We also value experience working in a university community
• Good organizational and collaboration skills, as well as communication and negotiation skills
• Fluent English and Finnish
• Open-mindedness to performing different work tasks

We hope that you could start as soon as possible, but no later than autumn 2025. The employment relationship is fixed term and will last at least until the end of 2027.
