We are looking for:

Campus Tour Guides

(part-time, flexible hours)

Otaniemi, Espoo

As a Campus Tour Guide, you will be a brand ambassador for Aalto University, delivering engaging and insightful tours of our Otaniemi campus. You will play a key role in welcoming visitors—from corporate partners and university collaborators to new staff and international guests—and sharing the story, architecture, sustainability, and student life that make Aalto unique.

As a Tour Guide, you will:

• Lead guided campus tours that highlight Aalto’s architecture, art, sustainability, and academic values

• Represent Aalto’s spirit with energy, professionalism, and enthusiasm

• Tailor tours to the needs of different audiences (corporate, academic, public)

• Follow and adapt our tour script and checklist while adding your own perspective

• Answer questions or help find answers via our team communication tools

• Ensure inclusive and accessible experiences for all visitors

• Handle occasional urgent coordination (e.g. location issues, rescheduling)

• Collect feedback at the end of the tour

To succeed in this role, you should:

• Be a current student of Aalto University

• Be comfortable speaking in front of groups in English (Finnish and other languages are a plus!)

• Have a passion for Aalto, its values, and campus life

• Be reliable and organized

• Have a proactive and positive mindset

• Be comfortable using basic tools like Telegram, Teams, and Outlook

Terms

This is a part-time, flexible engagement, with varying hours depending on tour requests. Training is mandatory and compensated. Tour schedules are shared in advance, and participation is on a voluntary sign-up basis. Salary is based on the recommended hourly rate for the University students.

If you are interested in joining our team of campus guides, send a short video clip in English by August 3rd  (max. 5 minutes), presenting yourself and explaining why you would be a suitable candidate to be a campus tour guide.

Candidates may be invited to do a 10 minute campus tour with a provided script.

Trainings and actual guiding will start in August/ September 2025.
