Wirepas is seeking a highly skilled, experienced, and enthusiastic Test Automation Lead and Architect to guide the development of our Wirepas Mesh product Test Automation. Wirepas Mesh is an embedded software binary product, and testing is done by test automation. Hence, we consider test assets as our second product. Today we run 1.4M test runs per year. We have 25 physical test networks in use. We have also a digital testing environment, where we can test the same binary as in physical hardware. All this produces a lot of data, which needs to be pre-processed into a readable format. If you are up for a challenge, this position may be the right one for you!
In Wirepas product development, the Test Automation Lead and Architect is the key driver, and defines testing architecture, content and delivery. You will be working with a team of 15-20 people that includes developers of the Mesh product and test automation assets. In your role, you will be developing and maintaining a testing plan for the new Mesh releases and are responsible for that plan to all the stakeholders in the company. The Test Automation Lead and Architect works to ensure that business, quality, and functional goals are met with each product release. You also understand both the SW testing and customer side of the product releases.
The position is in Tampere, Finland.
About you
You have an enthusiasm for driving and defining software products, where quality is ensured by fully automated testing. You are a self-starter who can manage time effectively. You also have good analytical mind and advanced problem-solving skills coupled with a commitment to drive the best quality. You communicate fluently in English as it’s the working language at Wirepas.
You like working with a technical team and should see opportunities where other people see challenges. You should be comfortable managing multiple projects at once.
As a Test Automation Lead and Architect, your responsibilities include:
• Product test requirement management i.e. ensuring that team is testing correctly to ensure high quality outputs
• Creating a Wirepas Mesh test plan, driving test schedule and keeping all the stakeholders informed.
• Leading and directing collaborative efforts of release testing i.e. conducting and influencing actively development, management, testing along with operations on release and development processes.
• Managing risks that may affect release testing and/or schedule.
• Creating a long-term vision of how we develop our test assets
For this role we are hoping for you to master:
• Established background in testing software products together with software engineering teams and high degree of proficiency in documentation, iterative development, and understanding of Agile principles
• Technical understanding of the modern test automation platforms and tools
• Creative thinker with a vision, while maintaining attention to detail
• Good spoken and written English as English is our company language
• Minimum of 4 years of test automation development

• Be comfortable managing multiple projects at a time.
• Test automation & defect management tools and methods, Robot framework
• CI/CD tools, such as Jenkins and Bitbucket pipelines
The experience of wireless communication products is considered an advantage.
